I am also here on the internet. Mom’s in bed (I still live at home until I can find a full-time permanent job...that’s a whole ‘nother story :/)

Bro’s in the same boat as me, so he is also home, but he is on his desktop downstairs watchin’ Stargate SG-1 over again, and I am up here on my laptop in the living room remotely trying to upgrade my netbook on the coffee table downstairs from Linux Mint 17.3 to Linux Mint 18 which just came out today (don’t ask why the roundabout way of doing it XD)

i graduated ‘09 from grad school and got laid off as everyone stopped building anything. I started calling the places i liked and was like 0/20, i think there was one ‘maybe we’re hiring’. After that I went to the top of the list and went 0/350

O man back in college some unfriendly looking guys asked my friends and I where the party was. I was hammered and replied with ‘in my pants but your not invited. My friends were able to convince them not to beat the hell out of me

I’ve got a BA with an Advanced Major in History and a Minor in English, and a BEd with teachables in Social Studies and English......so trying to find teaching work, but anything in the Education field would be fine, or the Museum field (I used to work at one for awhile and thoroughly enjoyed it).

I work part-time at the local libraries as a front desk clerk and at the local Tim Hortons as well (God, I hate that job, lol...). I’ve done a lot of tech. help/support/tutoring through the library as well and do tech. repair/tutoring on the side, so I’d be happy in a tech. Education related line of work as well. Just applied for that type of permanent position at a different local library system an hour from here, so hoping I get that one, but I’ve applied to 3 other similar positions with that same library in the past and never heard a thing even though I have exactly the qualfications/experience they are looking for :(

Working in an Auto Museum would be my dream job...

I got a ChemE degree and landed me a job in oil. Eventually, after the crash, I found myself out of work. It’s whatever, but I hate looking for a new job.

That’s my problem. Most here have a lot of volunteer positions and are tight on money unless they are provincial or national museums. I have the History and Education background (although no degree in Museum Studies), so I like to think I am fairly qualified with my past experience included.

Provincial Museums here very rarely have jobs open up, and National museums require employees to be billingual in French and English as Canada is an officially billingual country - I can’t speak fluent French, sadly...

I am also a one man party. Wife and kids are at the in-laws in Arizona and I just didn’t feel like going anywhere. So it’s me and a bottle of agave wine hanging out with the dog and an ancient iPod nano in my shed playing whatever has been on it since 2007.
